Aranya Sangha Dana Fellowship Limited supports community-based Buddhist monastics in Singapore to live independently and age with dignity. The organisation provides social, medical, and legal support to over 100 elderly or isolated monastics, enabling their continued spiritual practice.
Job Summary
You will be responsible for facilitating change and improving lives for community-based Buddhist monastics under our care through the provision of direct services.
Responsibilities
- Deliver social work services including casework management, counselling, home and hospital visits, and interview assessments to support community-based monastics
- Design, implement, and evaluate programs tailored to meet the needs of monastic clients
- Collaborate with external stakeholders and internal teams to ensure effective program and service delivery
- Maintain accurate and timely case records, client profiles, and documentation for case management processes
- Compile and analyse statistics for reporting, funding, and audit purposes
- Build and maintain networks with social and community service organisations to advocate for client needs
- Perform ad-hoc duties and responsibilities as assigned
Required competencies and certifications
- Recognised Degree or Postgraduate Diploma in Social Work
- Minimum 3 years of relevant social service sector experience in case management
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Accreditation as a Registered Social Worker with SASW (advantageous but not mandatory)
- Knowledge of Buddhism to better understand client context
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin
