Research Engineer

Thecandidate will drive and execute local business development and be a liaisonbetween DNV Singapore office and major accounts in Japan. The candidate shouldadditionally advance Maritime Advisory projects in Japan, while remaining anintegral part of our global network of Maritime Advisory consultants andBusiness Development Managers.

1) Business Development

Serve as a key liaison and strategic partner with branch office of majorJapanese shipowners and shipyards in Singapore, leveraging technical expertiseto advise on e.g. autonomous technology, alternative fuels adoption, riskmitigation, and regulatory compliance and digital transformation.

Proposeand develop new business opportunities, focusing on developments withinmaritime technology and sustainability solutions.

2)Maritime Advisory

Participate in / Lead MaritimeAdvisory projects – both in local Japan market, but also globally.

Qualification

PHD in Engineering, preferably Ocean engineering

Strongcustomer service orientation

Technical competencies: Understanding of class, statutory surveyor work andresponsibilities

Behavioral competencies: Team player but able to work independently on surveys

Fluentin English (speaking and writing)
