L2 AWS Cloud Engineer

Responsibilities

• Oversee the administration and support of Wintel systems and cloud workloads.

• Manage OS patching processes and utilize patch management tools effectively.

• Apply ITIL practices and employ ITSM ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or Jira.

• Conduct application deployments and troubleshoot OS-level issues.

• Implement CIS security hardening measures and remediation strategies.

• Automate routine tasks utilizing PowerShell scripting.

• Maintain basic knowledge of Linux operating systems and related functions.

• Support operations in regulated or secure environments, ensuring compliance.

• Participate in a 24/7 shift rotation, providing on-call support as needed.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience with Wintel administration and support.

• At least 2 years of experience supporting Cloud Windows workloads.

• Strong understanding of operating system patch management and tools.

• Previous experience with application deployment and OS-level troubleshooting.

• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation tasks.

• Basic familiarity with Linux operating systems.

• Experience working in secure environments is preferred.

• Willingness to work extended hours during incidents and maintenance activities.
