Senior / Public Health Officer (Contact and Environmental Diseases)

[What the role is]

As a Senior/ Public Health Officer, you will be protecting the health of Singaporeans by reducing the burden of communicable diseases through the development and implementation of evidence-based policy formulation, implementing and overseeing effective disease prevention and control programmes, including epidemiological surveillance programmes and timely outbreak response and management.

You will be working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time.

[What you will be working on]

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Formulation, implementation, monitoring and review of the prevention and control strategies for contact and environmental diseases

• Develop and implement surveillance programmes

• Epidemiological investigation and outbreak management

• Provide technical subject matter expertise

• Programme management and administration

[What we are looking for]

• Preferably with Pharmacy, L ife Science , Medical, Nursing, Public Health or Epidemiology background

• 2-3 years work experience in public health would be advantageous

• Strong analytical skillsets

• Ability to work under pressure and simultaneously on different projects

• Excellent organisational skills and resourcefulness

• Good inter-personal and communication skills

• Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate across disciplines

• Willing to work beyond office hours, especially during outbreaks

• C ontinuously keep up-to-date on new developments in the communicable diseases field
