AWS Cloud Engineer (Azure, JBoss EAP, Apache Tomcat, CloudWatch, CI/CD, Jenkins, API, Oracle, Nagios)

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and administer AWS cloud infrastructure to deliver secure, scalable, and highly available environments.
  • Configure and manage AWS services including EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, RDS, CloudWatch, ECS, ECR, Lambda, Route 53, API Gateway, WAF, and other core cloud components.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using AWS CloudFormation and Terraform.
  • Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to automate application and infrastructure deployments.
  • Administer Linux (RHEL) and Windows servers, including installation, configuration, patch management, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
  • Deploy, configure, and support middleware platforms such as JBoss EAP and Apache Tomcat across multiple environments.
  • Implement containerized solutions using Docker and Kubernetes to support modern application deployments.
  • Monitor cloud infrastructure and middleware environments, proactively identifying and resolving performance, availability, and security issues.
  • Configure and maintain cloud security controls, including IAM policies, network security, SSL/TLS certificates, and access management.
  • Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and operations teams to support application deployments and production environments.
  • Perform system upgrades, backup, recovery, and operational maintenance while ensuring platform reliability and compliance.

Requirements

  • 9+ years of experience in Cloud Infrastructure, System Administration, or Middleware Administration.
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS Cloud services.
  • Strong experience in CloudWatch.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code using AWS CloudFormation, Nagios, Terraform.
  • Strong experience in Apache Tomcat.
  • Hands on experience in database such as Oracle, Dynamo, etc.
  • Experience developing and supporting CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience in tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or AWS CodeDeploy.
  • Strong administration experience with Linux (RHEL) and Windows Server environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience in JBoss EAP and enterprise middleware administration.
  • Hands on experience in Splunk.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
  • Strong understanding of cloud networking, security, monitoring, and high-availability architecture.
  • Experience troubleshooting production issues and supporting mission-critical enterprise applications.
  • Experience in scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, or Python for automation.
  • Hands on experience in Lambda, API Gateway, and WAF.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
  • AWS certifications and exposure to Azure or other cloud platforms will be an added advantage.
