Video Editor

50nFifty Productions is looking for a capable and dependable Video Editor to join our team.

The role primarily involves editing corporate videos, interviews, documentaries, social media content and commercial projects. We are looking for someone with strong editorial judgment who can organise footage, structure a clear story and deliver polished work without requiring constant supervision.

This is not a heavy VFX or advanced animation role. However, the candidate should have practical working knowledge of Adobe After Effects for motion graphics, titles, green-screen keying and basic compositing.

//Key Responsibilities\\

• Edit corporate, documentary, interview, commercial and social media video content
• Review, organise and manage raw footage and project files
• Develop clear story structures from interviews, scripts and available footage
• Select suitable takes, soundbites, music and supporting visuals
• Refine pacing, transitions, audio and overall presentation
• Create titles, lower thirds, subtitles and simple motion graphics
• Perform basic green-screen keying, masking, tracking, screen replacement and compositing
• Carry out basic colour correction and audio cleanup
• Prepare videos in the required formats and technical specifications
• Manage multiple projects and meet agreed deadlines
• Respond professionally to feedback and complete revisions accurately
• Maintain organised project folders, file names and archives
• Identify editing or technical problems and propose practical solutions

• Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro or an equivalent professional editing platform
• Practical working knowledge of Adobe After Effects
• Good understanding of storytelling, pacing, composition and visual continuity
• Able to edit interviews and shape raw material into a coherent narrative
• Comfortable handling basic motion graphics and straightforward compositing work
• Good sense of typography, music selection and visual presentation
• Organised, responsible and attentive to detail
• Able to work independently and take ownership of assigned projects
• Able to manage deadlines without repeated reminders
• Open to feedback and willing to refine the work when required
• Relevant experience is preferred, but the quality of the candidate’s portfolio and editing judgment will carry greater weight than qualifications alone
