HAIRSTYLIST

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Hairstylist to join our professional salon team. You will deliver high-quality hairdressing services, ensure excellent customer satisfaction, and work effectively in a fast-paced salon environment.

Responsibilities

• Consult with clients to identify their hairstyle preferences and requirements
• Perform hair cutting, trimming, styling, blow-drying, shampooing, and hair treatments to meet client needs
• Apply hair colouring, highlighting, bleaching, rebonding, perming, and other chemical services safely and accurately
• Recommend hairstyles tailored to clients’ facial features, hair texture, and lifestyle
• Advise clients on proper hair care and recommend suitable hair care products to enhance hair health
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of workstations, salon equipment, and tools to comply with health and safety standards
• Ensure all salon services adhere to health and safety regulations
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business
• Stay updated on current hairstyle trends, techniques, and products to provide modern styling options
• Assist with inventory management and ensure adequate salon supplies are available

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Certificate or Diploma in Hairdressing, Cosmetology, or equivalent
• Experience in hair cutting, colouring, chemical treatments, and styling techniques
• Good customer service and communication skills
• Friendly, well-groomed, and professional attitude
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• Willingness to work on weekends and public holidays based on roster
• Basic English communication skills
• Skills in sales and product recommendation
• Time management and teamwork skills

• 6 days per week
• 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM (Rostered schedule)
