Beauty Salon Manager

Responsibilities
- Sculpt, mold, and cast 3D prosthetic appliances using silicone, latex, or gelatin to create realistic effects.
- Build trauma simulation effects, including anti-aging makeup, for film and media productions.
- Apply complex prosthetic pieces on set and maintain consistent look continuity throughout shoots.
- Coordinate effectively with directors, costume departments, and lighting crews to ensure seamless integration of prosthetics.
- Oversee daily salon operations, including hiring and training beauticians to maintain service quality.
- Organize employee shifts based on peak times and seasonal demand to optimize staffing.
- Manage inventory by ordering beauty products such as creams and essential oils and replenishing stock timely.
- Arrange regular maintenance for all salon equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
- Implement and enforce hygiene practices across all beauty stations to meet health standards.
- Ensure all beauty treatments meet high-quality standards to satisfy customer expectations.
- Maintain accurate staff records, including salaries and working schedules, to support HR functions.
- Drive business growth by managing the sales team to achieve sales targets and revenue goals.
- Design and implement strategic business plans to expand the customer base and strengthen market presence.
- Lead recruitment, set objectives, coach, and monitor performance of sales representatives to enhance team effectiveness.
- Build and nurture strong customer relationships by understanding client needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Present sales, revenue, and expense reports with realistic forecasts to management for informed decision-making.
- Identify emerging markets and monitor market shifts, new products, and competitor activities to maintain competitive advantage.
Required competencies and certifications
- Proficiency in mold-making, color theory, and safe chemical handling to produce high-quality prosthetics.
- High school diploma plus certification from a recognized makeup or art school demonstrating foundational knowledge.
- Ability to provide a robust portfolio showcasing practical creature or injury makeup work.
- Physical stamina to endure long working hours and adaptability to perform under tight production schedules.
