Extension Option: A further 12 months, from 1 January 2028 to 31 December 2028, at the school’s discretion
Salary: S$1,800 to S$2,000 per month, commensurate with relevant experience
About the Role
The School Admin Support Officer will provide front-counter services and administrative support for the school’s General Office. The role involves attending to enquiries, coordinating office activities, maintaining records and facilities, and providing basic first-aid assistance when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer, screen and route incoming telephone calls and mail.
- Attend to walk-in visitors, including parents, students, staff and delivery personnel.
- Provide general administrative support, including mail distribution, filing, laminating and courier coordination.
- Maintain accurate records of received items, lost-and-found property and uniform loans.
- Support the maintenance and updating of the school’s intranet portal.
- Ensure that the front counter, conference room, visitor’s room and sick bay are tidy, adequately stocked and ready for use.
- Serve as the goods receipt officer and maintain the relevant records.
- Coordinate ad-hoc bus bookings and collect monthly utility meter readings from canteen operators.
- Manage appointments, calendars and room bookings.
- Provide basic first-aid assistance and initial triage at the front counter, including liaising with parents and emergency medical personnel when necessary.
- Carry out other duties assigned by the School Leaders, Administration Manager or Operations Manager.
Requirements
- Minimum GCE N-Level qualification, including passes in English and Mathematics.
- GCE O-Level, Higher Nitec or an equivalent qualification would be advantageous.
- At least one year of relevant experience in a school administrative support role within an MOE school.
- Strong administrative, organisational and time-management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in computer applications and office systems.
- Ability to manage enquiries and interactions calmly, professionally and tactfully.
- Basic first-aid competency or willingness to undergo the required training.
- Ability to work independently when managing front-counter and walk-in visitor matters.
- Able to remain composed and service-oriented when handling time-sensitive or challenging situations.
Work Arrangements
Working Hours
Monday to Friday, 9.15am to 6.15pm, inclusive of a one-hour lunch break.
No work is required on Saturdays, Sundays or gazetted public holidays.
