Data Scientist (Senior)

Job Summary

Lead data-driven initiatives by building comprehensive business metrics, conducting advanced analyses, and delivering actionable insights to optimize user acquisition, engagement, and product performance. Collaborate cross-functionally and mentor team members to elevate data capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Build multi-dimensional business metrics (user, traffic, conversion, revenue) and define North Star metrics to deliver dashboards and reports covering 90% of daily data needs
• Monitor core data daily, conduct anomaly analysis, and establish intelligent monitoring frameworks to quickly identify and resolve data issues
• Quantify user behaviors and identify key growth opportunities to support strategy design for user acquisition and engagement
• Optimize app features and traffic funnels through A/B testing and experimentation frameworks to improve overall user lifetime value (LTV)
• Lead the design and standardization of the business metrics system, ensuring KPI consistency and alignment across product lines and markets
• Translate complex business problems into structured analytical frameworks and independently drive end-to-end analysis projects from problem definition to actionable recommendations
• Partner with product and operations teams to evaluate the impact of new features, campaigns, and market strategies through rigorous quantitative analysis
• Develop and maintain self-serve analytics tools and data products that empower business teams to independently access insights
• Mentor junior data scientists and analysts by conducting code and analysis reviews and promoting best practices in data analysis methodology
• Identify data gaps and opportunities proactively, driving improvements in data collection, instrumentation, and overall data infrastructure quality

Required competencies and certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Senior Data Analyst or in a similar role
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and databases such as SQL, Python, Power BI, Quick BI
• Strong skills in data gathering, cleaning, and transformation techniques
• Ability to analyze large datasets and produce comprehensive reports
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and an analytical mindset
• Excellent communication skills to explain complex concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders and engage key stakeholders across different markets
