Job Profile

The Project Engineer will be responsible for technical coordination, site supervision, document control, and communication with clients and consultants. The position requires hands-on knowledge in project execution, technical drawing preparation, and financial tracking through progress claims. Responsibilities are subject to change by management and will be carried out in line with company directives and leadership.

Main Functions and Responsibilities

  1. Prepare, schedule, coordinate, and monitor assigned engineering projects.
  2. Study blueprints, schematics, manuals, and specifications to determine installation procedures.
  3. Install or supervise installation of equipment, with focus on UPS systems, per manufacturer and project specifications.
  4. Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications.
  5. Engage with clients and consultants to interpret technical needs and ensure satisfaction.
  6. Conduct quality control for budgets, schedules, and project plans, and report progress regularly.
  7. Assign tasks and mentor junior team members to ensure quality and accountability.
  8. Collaborate with project managers and all relevant parties to provide technical support and resolve issues.
  9. Review engineering deliverables and initiate corrective actions when needed.
  10. Prepare shop drawings and as-built drawings as required.
  11. Apply strong project management and coordination skills in daily operations.
  12. Be proficient in electrical systems, especially UPS installation and commissioning.
  13. Prepare and manage progress claim schedules, including tracking completed work, preparing claim documentation, and liaising with clients or consultants for approval and follow-up.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a project engineering role, preferably in power systems or electrical installations.
  • Hands-on experience with UPS systems and related electrical infrastructure.
  • Solid understanding of technical drawings, site execution, and project documentation.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, and MS Excel.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with progress claims, billing procedures, and project financial reporting.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and local regulations.
  • PMP certification (preferred but not required).
