Role Description
The Lead Backend Engineer similar to the role of a Solution Architect, shall be responsible for the engineering team and guide them on the design, development, configuration, and maintenance of backend solutions on the ServiceNow platform, with specific expertise in ServiceNow Field Service Management (FSM)
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for the end-to-end architecture for FIP and ensures the detailed design and development is aligned with the Enterprise Architecture of the Customer
Design, develop, configure and customise ServiceNow FSM modules workflows business rules. Script includes and integrations
Translate business requirements including application resiliency requirements, into application architectural specifications
Ensure solutions comply with ServiceNow best practices performance standards and security guidelines.
Use. govern and enhance the architecture blueprint to ensure that the business and ICT are in alignment
Support system testing, defect resolution deployment, and post implementation support
Review source codes and solutions as part of the software development lifecycle process
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
Lead Backend Engineer shall have a minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in ServiceNo development
At least 3 years of hands-on ServiceNow development expenance, including server side scripting (Business Rules Script Includes Scheduled Jobs) and client-side scripting (Client Scripts. Ul Policies) as well as REST and SOAP integrationsth external systems
Proven experience delivening enterprise-scale ServiceNow solutions this the last 2 years
Minimum 2 years experience managing ServiceNow update sets, working within application scopes, and supporting version upgrades with minimal service disruption
Mandatory certification Certified Application Developer (CAD) certification and Certified Implementation Specialist in Field Service Management (CIS-FSM) certification
Skill Level
Senior-level professional capable of working independently with minimal supervision, make design decisions and mentor junior developers if required. Expected to take ownership of technical direction, conduct code reviews, and ensure development standards are upheld across the team.
