Responsibilities
- Negotiate and execute sales and purchase contracts with customers and suppliers.
- Manage shipment scheduling, contract amendments, pricing adjustments, and futures trading activities.
- Monitor trade execution risks and ensure compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and trade terms.
- Coordinate with logistics and operational teams to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
- Identify new business opportunities and strengthen relationships with customers and suppliers.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements to support business development efforts.
- Support commercial initiatives aimed at driving revenue growth and profitability.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, brokers, and internal stakeholders.
- Support risk management activities and ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and internal requirements.
- Collaborate with regional and international stakeholders to identify and leverage trading opportunities.
- Share market insights and provide support and guidance to team members.
- Prepare reports, including market analysis and profit and loss performance reporting.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives and cross-border trading activities.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in commodity trading, commercial operations, or a related field.
- Experience in contract execution, market development, and regional or international trading activities.
- Experience in grain, feed ingredients, agricultural commodities, or related commodity trading is an added advantage.
- Good understanding of international trade practices, contracts, Incoterms, and global trade flows.
- Familiarity with futures trading, risk management, and credit management processes.
- Strong analytical, market research, and commercial evaluation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and trading systems.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building capabilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic trading environment.
