CARPENTER

Job Responsibilities

• Carry out carpentry works according to drawings, measurements and site requirements.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and install wooden and other carpentry materials.
• Construct and install cabinets, wardrobes, shelves, doors, partitions, counters and other customised furniture.
• Perform on-site installation, fitting, alignment and finishing works.
• Operate carpentry tools and machinery safely, including saws, drills, sanders and other relevant equipment.
• Read and interpret basic drawings, measurements and specifications.
• Inspect completed carpentry works to ensure proper fitting, quality and finishing.
• Carry out repair, maintenance, modification and rectification works when required.
• Transport, handle and store carpentry materials and tools safely.
• Maintain cleanliness and good housekeeping at the workshop and work sites.
• Follow workplace safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Coordinate with supervisors, contractors and other workers to ensure work is completed according to schedule.
• Perform any other carpentry-related duties assigned by the supervisor.
