Assistant Marketing Manager

About the Role

We are looking for an ambitious and commercially driven Assistant Marketing Manager to lead marketing campaigns across a portfolio of B2B conferences and events.

This is a hands-on role combining campaign strategy, audience acquisition, digital marketing, content and performance analysis. You will take ownership of event marketing plans from launch through to onsite delivery, with a strong focus on driving delegate and visitor registrations, engagement and revenue.

The ideal candidate has experience delivering B2B marketing campaigns and is ready to take greater ownership of strategy, budgets and campaign performance.

Key Responsibilities

· Develop and execute end-to-end marketing strategies for B2B conferences, exhibitions and events.

· Own registration and revenue targets, translating these into clear campaign plans, timelines and KPIs.

· Plan and deliver multi-channel campaigns across email, paid media, social media, content, partnerships and direct marketing.

· Manage audience segmentation and database strategy to reach the right industries, companies, seniorities and job functions.

· Create compelling campaign messaging and oversee marketing copy across emails, websites, social media and promotional materials.

· Manage LinkedIn, Google and other paid digital campaigns, including budgets, targeting, optimisation and performance reporting.

· Analyse the marketing funnel and campaign performance, identifying opportunities to improve conversion rates, cost per acquisition and ROI.

· Work closely with conference producers to translate agendas, speakers and industry trends into strong marketing propositions.

· Partner with sales teams to support delegate revenue, sponsorship and exhibition objectives.

· Build promotional relationships with speakers, sponsors, exhibitors, media partners, associations and other industry stakeholders.

· Oversee event websites, landing pages and registration journeys to improve user experience and conversion.

· Develop and manage event content campaigns including reports, interviews, speaker announcements, industry insights and downloadable resources.

· Monitor competitor events and market developments to identify new audiences and growth opportunities.

· Support and mentor junior marketing team members, providing guidance on campaign execution and priorities.

· Manage multiple events and deadlines while maintaining high standards of accuracy and execution.

· Support onsite marketing, content capture and attendee engagement at events when required.

What We’re Looking For

· 3–5 years of marketing experience, preferably within B2B events, conferences, exhibitions, media or professional services.

· Demonstrated experience managing marketing campaigns with measurable registration, lead generation or revenue targets.

· Strong understanding of B2B audience acquisition and digital marketing.

· Experience with email marketing, paid social, Google Ads, social media and database segmentation.

· Strong copywriting and communication skills with the ability to turn complex industry topics into engaging campaigns.

· Experience managing marketing budgets and optimising spend against ROI.

· Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.

· Commercial mindset with a strong focus on results, conversion and audience growth.

· Ability to take ownership, work independently and proactively identify opportunities to improve performance.
