Purpose of role

Support underwriters, service existing business and build core competence

Key responsibilities

· Manage assigned tasks with ownership, ensuring timely, accurate, and proactive handling

· Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with internal stakeholders

· Participate in structured learning activities and contribute to a culture of continuous development and knowledge sharing

· Create and update TIA/NEXT with terms and conditions and entries, and issue accurate documentation and invoicing.

· This role will mainly involve producing P&I documentation but may also encompass property Damage (H&M, IV, War etc)

· Stay informed on market developments

· Ad hoc administration tasks

· Assist with

  • Enquiries from Members and Brokers
  • Drafting quotes
  • Handling renewals and new business opportunities
  • Issuing statistics, lists and various reports
  • Marketing activities if required

· Ensure compliance with Skuld’s Policies, Instructions, and Guidelines (PIGs)

· Actively seek guidance from senior colleagues and contribute as a reliable team member

An Executive is expected to begin learning general and functional competencies on the Executive and Senior Executive level.

General competencies

· Demonstrates efficiency in team settings by effectively collaborating with colleagues, including consistently contributing as a reliable team player.

· A keen eye for detail and an ability to process documentation without errors.

· Demonstrates an understanding of cyber security principles and security risks

· Demonstrates an understanding and effective use of core Microsoft tools in daily work

Qualifications

· Relevant work experience ideally within a marine insurance environment

· Educated to degree level, a maritime based degree would be an advantage.

· Fluent in English, both spoken and written, at a high professional level
