The Opportunity

We are seeking a hands-on and resourceful HR Lead/ Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day HR agenda and support the broader people priorities of the business. Reporting to the Senior HR Manager, you will partner managers and employees, work closely with the China HR team, and guide a HR/Office Assistant.

This role requires someone who can operate independently, work through ambiguity and turn business needs into practical HR solutions. You should be comfortable moving between HR operations, recruitment, employee relations, compensation & benefits, payroll, performance management, analytics and strategic HR projects.

What You Will Do

• HR Business Partnering: Advise managers and employees on organisation, performance, employee relations, policies and people matters. Diagnose issues, recommend solutions and follow through to closure.

• HR Operations & Compliance: Own employee lifecycle processes, HR records and core operations. Maintain sound controls and compliance with Singapore employment legislation and statutory requirements.

• Compensation, Benefits & Payroll: Manage C&B administration, salary reviews, benchmarking and manpower cost analysis. Review payroll inputs and outputs and provide reliable payroll backup.

• Talent Acquisition & Onboarding: Manage end-to-end recruitment for assigned roles, from sourcing and assessment to offers and onboarding.

• Performance & Talent Management: Drive performance cycles, goal setting and talent actions. Support development, retention, career and succession initiatives.

• HR Analytics & Reporting: Build HR dashboards, manpower budgets and management reports. Use Excel and HR data to identify trends, risks and actions.

• Employee Engagement & Culture: Translate employee feedback into practical actions. Lead engagement, communication and culture initiatives with clear outcomes and budget discipline.

• Projects & Process Improvement: Own HR projects including policy reviews, process redesign, system implementation and workforce initiatives. Use technology and AI-enabled tools to improve productivity.

• Regional Collaboration: Work closely with the China HR team and other locations to align policies, processes and people initiatives across English- and Chinese-speaking stakeholders.

• Team Guidance: Guide and develop a HR/Office Assistant. Delegate appropriately while remaining accountable for quality, decisions and delivery.

What we are looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related discipline.

• 7-10 years of progressive HR generalist or HR business partnering experience, with strong hands-on HR operations exposure.

• Proven ability to operate independently in a lean, fast-moving organisation and manage competing priorities with limited supervision.

• Sound working knowledge of compensation & benefits, payroll, manpower budgeting and Singapore employment legislation.

• Strong Excel capability, including data analysis, lookups, pivot tables and management reporting. Comfortable using HR systems, digital tools and AI-enabled productivity tools.

• Experience managing recruitment, employee relations, performance management and cross-functional HR projects end to end.

• Strong spoken and written English. Professional working proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is important for effective collaboration with the China HR team and Chinese-speaking stakeholders.

• Experience working across Singapore and China or in a regional/international environment is preferred.

What core competencies you should possess

• Ownership & Accountability: Takes responsibility for outcomes, follows through and escalates with options rather than problems alone.

• Independent Problem Solving: Works through ambiguity, applies sound judgement and develops practical solutions without excessive direction.

• Business & HR Acumen: Connects people decisions to business needs, cost, risk and organisational impact.

• Analytical & Digital Fluency: Uses Excel, HR data, systems and productivity tools confidently to improve decisions and execution.

• Agility & Learning Mindset: Learns quickly, adapts to changing priorities and remains effective in a fast-paced environment.

• Stakeholder Partnership & Influence: Builds trust across levels and cultures, challenges constructively and communicates with clarity.

• Execution & Resilience: Prioritises well, sustains momentum and closes actions with quality and urgency.

What's In It For You

• Broad ownership across HR business partnering, operations, talent, C&B and people initiatives.

• Direct exposure to business leaders and opportunities to shape HR solutions in a lean, international organisation.

• Regional collaboration with teams across Singapore, China and other Durapower locations.

• A role where initiative, judgement and the ability to improve how work gets done are valued.
