Safety Coordinator

Job Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing and maintaining the company's Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular workplace inspections and identify unsafe conditions, acts and potential hazards.
- Follow up on corrective and preventive actions to ensure safety issues are properly addressed.
- Conduct safety briefings, toolbox meetings and safety inductions for workers.
- Assist in preparing and maintaining risk assessments, Safe Work Procedures (SWP), permits and other safety documentation.
- Monitor workers' compliance with company safety rules and statutory requirements.
- Investigate workplace incidents, near misses and unsafe practices, and assist in preparing incident reports.
- Coordinate safety training, inspections and safety-related activities.
- Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and other safety equipment.
- Liaise with supervisors, workers, contractors and relevant authorities on safety matters when required.
- Maintain proper records of safety inspections, training, incidents and corrective actions.
- Promote a strong safety culture and continuously improve workplace safety practices.
- Good knowledge of Singapore WSH requirements and safe work practices.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Responsible, organised and detail-oriented.
- Able to work independently and coordinate with different departments.
