QA Executive

Job Scope:
- Monitor and ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and quality standards throughout the production process.
- Conduct routine inspections of raw materials, production areas, equipment, storage areas and finished products.
- Verify that production staff comply with company SOPs, personal hygiene requirements and food handling procedures.
- Monitor and review temperature records for chillers, freezers, thawing, cooking, cooling and finished products.
- Conduct incoming checks on raw materials and packaging materials to ensure they meet required specifications.
- Perform quality checks on work-in-progress and finished products, including appearance, weight, packaging and labelling.
- Maintain and update QA records, checklists, inspection forms and food safety documentation.
- Investigate product quality issues, customer complaints and non-conformances, and assist with corrective and preventive actions.
- Conduct internal hygiene and food safety inspections and follow up on corrective actions.
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of HACCP, GMP and other food safety management systems.
- Support preparation for SFA inspections, customer audits and external certification audits.
- Conduct environmental, equipment and hygiene monitoring where required.
- Ensure proper traceability, product labelling and batch identification.
- Monitor cleaning and sanitation activities and verify that cleaning standards are met.
- Conduct staff training on food hygiene, food safety, SOPs and quality requirements.
- Work closely with Production, Warehouse, Procurement and Logistics teams on food safety and quality matters.
- Review and update SOPs, work instructions and QA documentation when required.
- Assist with product sampling, shelf-life monitoring and basic quality testing.
- Report food safety or quality abnormalities to Management and recommend corrective actions.
- Perform any other QA and food safety duties assigned by Management.
- Diploma or Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Safety, Applied Science or a related discipline.
- Relevant experience in food manufacturing, central kitchen, catering or food production is preferred.
- Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, food hygiene and food safety requirements.
- Familiarity with Singapore Food Agency requirements is an advantage.
- Good documentation and record-keeping skills.
- Able to conduct inspections and identify food safety or quality issues.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Able to work independently and work closely with production teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic report preparation.
- Willing to work in a food manufacturing / central kitchen environment.
