The role focuses on delivering Asia-specific business requirements while leveraging and contributing to a global technology stack.

The primary responsibility is to design, develop, and enhance technology solutions that support regional business needs. This includes extending existing systems, delivering new functionality, and participating in strategic platform development as part of a distributed global technology team across APAC, EMEA, and the Americas.

In addition to enhancing existing platforms, the role may require the design and implementation of new greenfield applications and services where strategic solutions do not currently exist.

The role involves close collaboration with regional and global technology governance teams for planning, prioritization, scheduling, status reporting, and delivery coordination.

The platforms supported include pricing, risk management, market-making, reporting, and electronic trading solutions for FICC products such as Bonds, Interest Rate Swaps (IRS), Credit Default Swaps (CDS), Foreign Exchange (FX), Repos, and other FICC derivatives across both electronic and voice trading channels.

The successful candidate should possess strong problem-solving skills, a solid engineering mindset, and a deep understanding of modern software development technologies and practices.

Responsibilities

  • Requirements Analysis & Solution Design: Collaborate with business users, product stakeholders, and technology leads to understand requirements, perform feasibility assessments, conduct technical research, and develop implementation plans. Prepare and present solution proposals, prototypes, and proof-of-concept initiatives where required.
  • Software Development: Design, develop, and implement high-quality software solutions across the FICC technology platform. Deliver maintainable, scalable, and robust applications aligned with architectural standards and business objectives.

  • Testing & Deployment Coordination: Partner with Quality Assurance and Production Management teams to coordinate testing activities, release planning, deployment execution, and post-release validation.
  • Developer Productivity & Tooling: Build and enhance development tooling, automation frameworks, and engineering utilities to improve software delivery efficiency and strengthen SDLC practices.
  • Post-Release Support: Respond effectively to post-release issues, production support queries, and user feedback, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication.
  • Architecture & Strategic Technology Contribution: Contribute to the evolution of the global technology platform by participating in architecture discussions, design reviews, technology evaluations, and strategic initiatives spanning regions, businesses, and product lines.
  • Domain Expertise Development: Develop expertise across Rates, FX, Credit, and other FICC asset classes, including Bonds, CDS, IRS, and related products. Build a strong understanding of OTC trading venues such as Bloomberg, MarketAxess, and Tradeweb, along with trade execution workflows, while staying current with emerging technologies and industry trends.
