Store Assistant (Healthcare Industry)

Responsibilities

  • Carry out day-to-day store activities, including receiving, packing, storage and distribution of consumables and medical supplies to both Homes (Bedok & Bishan) on a weekly basis. Items include diapers, milk feeds, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), medical supplies and other consumables.
  • Sort and organise inventory and ensure proper stock rotation based on the First-In, First-Out (FIFO) principle.
  • Consolidate and reconcile supply requests from both Homes on a weekly and/or monthly basis, e.g. medical supplies, diapers, milk, etc.
  • Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular physical stock checks and initiate replenishment when items reach their re-order levels.
  • Identify and report stock discrepancies to the supervisor and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Generate and print inventory labels accurately using the designated system.
  • Perform tagging of inventory and assets using the QR/RFID system.
  • Ensure the accuracy and proper documentation of all incoming and outgoing items.
  • Follow up with vendors on faulty equipment and track repair status until completion.
  • Conduct bi-annual physical verification of tagged medical equipment and report any missing or unaccounted equipment.
  • Distribute stocks to the respective departments and maintain proper issuance records and documentation.
  • Perform regular checks to ensure stocks are in good condition and free from expiry or deterioration. Record and arrange for the disposal of expired or deteriorated items upon authorisation.
  • Ensure all stocks are stored under appropriate conditions and that storage areas are kept clean, neat and organised at all times.
  • Generate inventory-related reports and maintain relevant store records.
  • Assist with administrative and operational duties required for the smooth day-to-day running of store activities.
  • Perform other store-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Nitec, Higher Nitec, GCE 'N' level or equivalent
  • 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in storekeeping, inventory management or logistics, preferably within the healthcare industry.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with asset tagging systems, such as QR/RFID systems, will be an added advantage.
  • Detail-oriented, organised and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Hands-on with a positive attitude and strong sense of responsibility.
  • A good team player who is also able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Able to perform hands-on store duties, including handling, packing and moving supplies and inventory.
