Client Director, Thailand Business

Key Responsibilities

We’re looking for a Client Director to join the Intermediary team leading the Thailand business. The role will focus on developing and deepening strategic intermediary clients and partnerships in Thailand, driving profitable sales and AUM growth, strengthening client engagement, and helping translate client needs into relevant investment solutions across public and private markets.

What you’ll do

· Develop and execute a sound and profitable business plan for the Thailand intermediary business, aligned with regional distribution priorities and agreed sales and AUM targets.

· Build, manage and deepen strategic relationships with intermediary distributors, and other key clients in Thailand, acting as a trusted point of contact for commercial opportunities and client requirements.

· Identify new business opportunities and cross-selling potential across existing and prospective clients, ensuring diversification of sales and AUM by client segment, strategy and asset class.

· Keep abreast of developments in the Thai investment management, wealth and insurance markets to identify emerging client needs, regulatory considerations and commercial opportunities.

· Work closely with product, investment, marketing, legal, compliance, client service and RFP teams to prepare high-quality client proposals, presentations, campaigns and events that strengthen Schroders’ profile in Thailand.

· Develop a strong understanding of Schroders’ existing and new investment capabilities, and effectively convey client feedback and solution requirements to product managers and relevant investment desks.

· Manage sales activity, fund flows and pipeline discipline proactively, escalating material issues and implementing action plans where needed to support business momentum and client outcomes.

· Partner with the client service team to ensure a high standard of after-sales service, onboarding, reporting and issue resolution, in accordance with applicable policies, procedures and contractual requirements.

· Manage and develop a more junior sales resource also dedicated to the Thai market.

Essential Skills

· Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Business, Economics or a related discipline.

· Professional accreditation, such as CFA, is advantageous.

· Strong front-office experience in asset management, wealth management, insurance, distribution or a related financial services environment, with demonstrable exposure to intermediary channels.

· Good understanding of the Thailand intermediary, wealth and insurance landscape, including distributor dynamics, client needs and relevant market developments.

· Proven ability to build new relationships, manage senior client stakeholders and maintain long-term partnerships with intermediary clients.

· Commercially minded, proactive and disciplined in managing sales pipelines, fund flows, client activity and business priorities.

· Strong communication, presentation and influencing skills, with the ability to represent Schroders credibly with clients, partners and internal stakeholders.

· Good technical knowledge across relevant asset classes and investment solutions, with the ability to translate product capabilities into client-relevant propositions.

· Collaborative team player who can work effectively with regional distribution, product, investment, marketing, compliance and client service teams.

· Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, with willingness to adopt new tools and applications that improve client engagement and sales effectiveness.
