Barista

About the Role

We’re looking for a friendly and passionate Barista to join our team. You’ll be responsible for preparing quality coffee and beverages, keeping the café running smoothly, and creating a warm and welcoming experience for our guests. As part of the Front of House team, you’ll also support service operations when needed.

Location: Holland Village

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve espresso-based coffee, teas, juices and other beverages to our standards
• Operate and maintain coffee machines, grinders and other café equipment
• Ensure consistency in coffee quality, presentation and portioning
• Take orders and provide friendly, attentive service to guests
• Assist the service team during busy periods, including serving food and clearing tables
• Support the team with guest requests and general front-of-house duties
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar and service areas
• Restock coffee, beverages and other bar supplies as needed
• Assist with opening and closing duties
• Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace safety standards
• Work closely with the service and kitchen teams to ensure smooth daily operations
• Assist with other café duties as required

Requirements

• Previous barista or café experience preferred
• Good knowledge of espresso preparation and basic coffee techniques
• Friendly, approachable and comfortable interacting with guests
• Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Good attention to detail and a positive attitude
• Reliable, punctual and willing to work as part of a team
• Comfortable assisting with both bar and service duties
• Able to work weekends and public holidays when required
