Job Title: Cafe Manager (Hands-on, Front of House)

Key Responsibilities

Front of House Excellence

• Lead by example by actively working the floor during peak hours.
• Greet customers warmly and maintain a high standard of hospitality.
• Manage cash control, point-of-sale (POS) systems, and daily opening/closing procedures.
• Resolve customer feedback swiftly with grace and professionalism.

Team Leadership & Development

• Train and mentor baristas and service staff in FOH standards.
• Schedule weekly rosters to ensure optimal coverage and labor cost efficiency.
• Foster a positive team culture aligned with our social enterprise values.
• Conduct regular performance check-ins to motivate and retain staff.

Operations & Quality Control

• Maintain strict hygiene standards adhering to SFA regulations and hospital guidelines.
• Monitor inventory levels of FOH supplies, coffee beans, and pastries to minimize waste.
• Coordinate with the kitchen/suppliers for seamless daily stock replenishment.
• Optimize workflow efficiency to reduce customer wait times during peak medical breaks.

• Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of specialty cafe management experience.
• Skills: Strong barista skills and familiarity with POS/ordering systems.
• Mindset: Passionate about social impact and community-centric business models.
• Attributes: High emotional intelligence, stamina for hands-on work, and excellent communication.
• Availability: Willingness to work shifts aligned with hospital peak hours (including weekends if required).
