As an Executive, Customer Service, you will be part of a small, dynamic team dedicated to executing MSC's business plans, delivering high-quality customer support, and promoting MSC services as a trusted brand. Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Manager, Customer Service, you will provide backend support by handling enquiries and feedback related to bookings, shipment statuses, freight rates, and other booking-related matters. You will also promote MSC's services in line with the Company's business strategies. Your key responsibilities include the following:

  • Manage Local (Export) Accounts and Global Account customers, serving as the primary contact for booking enquiries, shipment status updates, and related matters.
  • Process and manage customer bookings via INTTRA, email, and internal booking systems as required.
  • Ensure assigned customer requirements are fulfilled and Shipping Instructions (SI) are accurately complied with.
  • Maintain contract filings for assigned trade services.
  • Handle customer requests for Change of Destination (COD).
  • Process Dangerous Goods (DG) applications through internal systems (OVA/Chemlink) and create PM4 documentation.
  • Liaise with Sales and Documentation teams to resolve rate discrepancies on final booking lists and facilitate the issuance of Electronic Manifest Corrections (EMCs).
  • Support container tracking activities and provide shipment status updates to customers through the track-and-trace system.
  • Ensure timely and accurate entry of shipping details into the Portnet system.
  • Maintain and update customer information in the internal OVP system, including new account setups and amendments to existing records.
  • Manage vessel closing activities for assigned trade services.
  • Support the Department Manager in guiding and mentoring junior team members within the department.
  • Proactively assist the Department Manager in identifying process and system improvement opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

QUALIFICATIONS

Who We Are Looking For

  • Minimum 1 to 3 years of relevant industry experience;
  • Candidates with a Degree in Maritime/ Business Studies or a related discipline will have an added advantage;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders;
  • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering excellent service;
  • Positive, proactive, and enthusiastic in representing MSC and promoting high-quality customer experience;
  • A collaborative team player who works well across different functions and departments;
  • Well-organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines;
  • Detail-oriented and meticulous in maintaining accuracy and quality of work;
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take initiative when required.
