Assistant Engineering Manager – Power Systems, BESS & Renewable Energy

Salary: Basic up to

S$8,000 + Allowances + Bonus + AWS

Working Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00am–6:00pm

Location: Pandan Crescent

Annual Leave: From 14 days

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Engineering Manager to lead engineering projects and support the Engineering Manager in managing the engineering team.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role covering engineering design, project execution, pre-sales and team development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Engineering Manager in leading the engineering team and project execution.
  • Design and engineer Telecom DC Power Systems, Rectifiers, UPS, BESS, Solar and Hybrid Solar Solutions.
  • Prepare SLDs, wiring diagrams, cabinet layouts, GA drawings, BOQ and technical documentation.
  • Design equipment cabinets and power distribution systems according to customer requirements and standards.
  • Prepare cost estimates, project budgets and technical proposals.
  • Provide technical pre-sales support including solution sizing, product selection, tenders and customer presentations.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations and Service teams.
  • Review engineering designs for compliance with IEC, IEEE and customer specifications.
  • Support FAT, SAT, commissioning and troubleshooting.
  • Mentor engineers and improve engineering processes and standards.
  • Keep up to date with UPS, lithium batteries, BESS, renewable energy and power technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical field.
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant engineering experience, with leadership/management experience.
  • Strong industry experience in Telecom DC Power, Rectifiers, UPS, BESS, Solar or Hybrid Solar systems.
  • Proven experience managing and developing engineering teams.
  • Strong project management and technical problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with electrical system design, power distribution and equipment fabrication.
  • Familiar with IEC / IEEE standards and project management systems.

Must Have

Candidates must come from the relevant industry, with hands-on experience in one or more of the following:

  • Telecom DC Power Systems
  • Rectifiers
  • UPS
  • Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
  • Lithium Battery Systems
  • Solar / Hybrid Solar Solutions
  • Power Distribution Systems
