Job Summary
Manage engineering projects from award through installation, commissioning, and final handover, ensuring timely completion, quality standards, and stakeholder satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Lead engineering projects by planning, scheduling, and allocating resources to meet project milestones and deadlines.
- Coordinate with customers, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to facilitate seamless project execution throughout the project lifecycle.
- Supervise site installation, construction, testing, and commissioning activities to ensure compliance with technical and safety standards.
- Monitor project progress, control costs, and manage variations by proactively resolving technical and operational issues.
- Review and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, method statements, and project documentation to guide project activities.
- Manage procurement, equipment fabrication, delivery, installation, and commissioning schedules to align with project timelines.
- Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project delivery.
- Ensure all project activities adhere to safety regulations, quality standards, permit-to-work (PTW) requirements, and company procedures.
- Lead and coordinate engineers, supervisors, technicians, subcontractors, and site personnel to maintain smooth project operations.
- Conduct project meetings with customers, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders to communicate progress and address issues.
- Prepare and maintain accurate project progress reports, cost updates, schedules, management reports, and documentation.
- Build and sustain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 5–7 years of experience in project engineering, project coordination, construction, installation, or commissioning.
- Experience in site installation and commissioning.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and project documentation.
- Willingness to travel to project sites and work outside normal hours, including weekends and public holidays, when required.
