Cyber Platform Engineer

Working Hours:Monday – Thursday (8.30am – 6pm), Friday (8.30am – 5.30pm) (Hybrid workingarrangement)

Salary Package: Upto $10,000 + AWS

Employment Type: Full time contract (2 years renewable with chances of conversion)

We are seeking a Cyber Platform Engineer to manage and maintain enterprise cybersecurity platforms, including firewalls, Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), DDoS/WAF and Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions. The role focuses on platform availability, security compliance, preventive maintenance, incident support and lifecycle management.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Palo Alto firewalls, Carbon Black EDR, Cloudflare DDoS/WAF and CyberArk PAM platforms or equivalent solutions.
• Perform regular health checks, preventive maintenance, patching, firmware upgrades and configuration reviews.
• Manage firewall policies, routing, NAT, security rules, IP whitelisting and blacklisting, and configuration backups.
• Monitor EDR servers and endpoint sensors, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and support endpoint onboarding and redeployment.
• Manage website onboarding, WAF rules, security alerts and SSL certificate renewals.
• Manage privileged-account onboarding, offboarding, access permissions, password rotation and audit reviews.
• Monitor system, security and audit logs and investigate platform or security issues.
• Support vulnerability assessments, cybersecurity audits and incident-response activities.
• Manage platform backups and support periodic restoration testing.
• Raise change requests and ensure all activities comply with cybersecurity policies and change-management procedures.
• Maintain SOPs, asset inventories, configuration records, troubleshooting guides and maintenance reports.
• Coordinate with internal teams and vendors for troubleshooting, maintenance and platform improvements.

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Network Engineering or a related field.
• Relevant experience in cybersecurity platform operations, network security or infrastructure security.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, NAT, DNS, network segmentation and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewalls or an equivalent next-generation firewall.
• Experience with Carbon Black or an equivalent EDR platform.
• Experience with Cloudflare or an equivalent DDoS/WAF solution.
• Experience with CyberArk or an equivalent PAM platform.
• Familiarity with Linux administration, vulnerability management, patching, security hardening and incident response.
