Job Summary
You will lead safety and health management, ensure compliance with WSH/EHS regulations, conduct risk assessments, and coordinate emergency response to maintain a safe work environment.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with operations staff to address safety and health issues on work sites
- Conduct site safety inspections and enforce compliance with WSH/EHS regulations
- Investigate and analyze incidents or accidents, reporting findings and recommending prevention measures
- Implement corrective actions to improve safety and operational efficiency
- Coordinate and maintain records for site safety orientations and daily toolbox meetings
- Prepare safety reports, documents, and forms accurately and timely
- Ensure adherence to all legal and regulatory safety requirements
- Plan and oversee fire safety, emergency response, first-aid, and WSH/EHS risk assessments and management activities
- Assist in delivering in-house safety training programs
- Manage all safety aspects related to construction work sites
- Audit equipment, machinery, and assets regularly to confirm good working condition and safety compliance
- Assess risks and provide recommendations for new or second-hand equipment and machinery purchases
- Conduct and review risk assessments for all work activities, proposing necessary improvements
- Liaise with the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) on all WSH matters
Required competencies and certifications
- Diploma in engineering, building, Safety & Health, or Environment
- WSQ Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health (WSH)
- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Knowledge of emergency preparedness, mitigation, and response
- Ability to work effectively as a team player
