Scope of Services

a. Provide an Adjunct Operations manager with Senior Fire Safety Manager (SFSM) certification who has completed the requisite SFSM course and holds the necessary qualifications as required under the SCDF regulations.

b. In addition for the role as an Adjunct Operations Manager, this person will be appointed as the SFSM of Eunoia Junior College Building and therefore should not be appointed or act as SFSM for any other building.

c. This person should fulfil the general duties stipulated in Regulation 7 of the Fire Safety (FSM) Regulations as the SFSM including conducting daily checks of the premises to identify and remove fire hazards.

d. As these duties are ongoing and time-sensitive in nature, the SFSM must be physically present at the school on a daily basis and carry out all required SFSM duties in full.

e. The SFSM retains overall responsibility for fire safety and must train and brief the school’s Operations Manager (if the Operations Manager has yet been certified a Senior Fire Safety Manager).

f. The SFSM is to document all fire-safety arrangements and SCDF requirement in the MOE Emergency Response Plan (ERP).

g. The SFSM is to assist the Operations Manager with day-to-day operations, school activities and events management in the college, ensuring safety, security and emergency preparedness of the college.

h. Any other duties assigned by the Vice-Principal (Administration) or other School Leaders

What the role is

Adjunct Operations Manager plays a key role in infrastructure and logistics management, leading and supervising a team of Operations Support Officers (OSOs), as well as upholding and maintaining the safety and security of the school.

What you will be working on

You will be involved in various aspects of school operations such as supervising and managing the maintenance of school facilities to ensure a safe learning environment, and lead a team of OSOs for effective school operations. You will also supervise vendors, including Managing Agents and Term Contractors, for infrastructure/ facilities improvement and maintenance works, and work with Vice-Principal (Administration) and Administration Manager to manage infrastructure-related budget and evaluate infrastructure-related project proposals. In addition, you will ensure school compliance with safety regulations and implement and oversee school safety protocols, and support student discipline-related matters.

What we are looking for

• Commitment to a 1-year contract

• A dynamic and motivated individual with good organisational, managerial, interpersonal and communication skills

• Preferably has experience and knowledge in estate management, logistics, safety and emergency planning

Qualification, Skill & Experience

• At least a Diploma or equivalent in fields relating to estate and facilities management preferred.

• Proficient in basic IT skills e.g. Microsoft Office and data entry.

• Meticulous and organised.

• Communicates well in English and has good interpersonal skills.

• Must possess a valid Certificate as a Senior Fire Safety Manager
