General Cleaning Worker

Job Summary

The General Cleaning Worker is responsible for carrying outdaily cleaning and housekeeping duties to maintain a clean, hygienic, safe, andwell-maintained environment. The worker will perform routine cleaning tasks inaccordance with company procedures, workplace safety requirements, and clientservice standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning and housekeeping duties at the assigned worksite.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and clean floors, corridors, staircases, and common areas.
• Dust and wipe furniture, tables, fixtures, windows, doors, and other surfaces.
• Collect, segregate, and dispose of general waste in accordance with site requirements.
• Clean and maintain cleaning equipment, tools, and materials after use.
• Carry out periodic cleaning tasks such as high-level dusting, deep cleaning, and washing of designated areas.
• Follow cleaning schedules, work instructions, and established cleaning procedures.
• Ensure all assigned areas are maintained according to the required cleanliness and hygiene standards.
• Report any defects, damages, safety hazards, or maintenance issues observed at the worksite to the supervisor.
• Follow workplace safety procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE) where required.
• Handle cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and in accordance with instructions.
• Assist the Cleaning Supervisor with ad-hoc cleaning duties and other operational requirements.
• Maintain good housekeeping and ensure cleaning equipment and materials are stored properly.
• Work cooperatively with supervisors and other cleaning team members to complete assigned tasks efficiently.
• Attend to client or site requirements professionally and courteously.

Requirements

• Previous experience in general cleaning, housekeeping, or a related field is preferred.
• Able to perform tasks such as standing, walking, bending, lifting, and moving cleaning equipment.
• Responsible, punctual, and willing to learn.
• Able to work independently as well as in a team.
• Good attitude and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.
• Able to follow instructions and workplace safety procedures.
• Willing to work according to assigned working hours and work schedules.
• Relevant cleaning experience in Singapore will be an advantage.
