Senior Accountant – Group Finance

Responsibilities
- Handle and oversee full sets of accounts for the Company and its subsidiaries, including AR, AP, GL, reconciliations and month-end/year-end closing.
- Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports, budgets, cash-flow forecasts and variance analysis.
- Manage subsidiary accounts, intercompany transactions and Group consolidation.
- Work with project and operation steams on project costing, job profitability and cost variance analysis.
- Develop appropriate cost centers and reporting for different business divisions such as construction, steel, carpentry, air-conditioning and other new businesses.
- Review and improve existing finance processes, accounting workflows and internal controls.
- Develop and maintain practical finance SOPs covering payments, collections, purchasing, expenses, month-end closing and other key processes.
- Support the CFO in structuring and improving the Finance Department as the Group expands.
- Handle GST, corporate tax, statutory reporting, audit and e-Invoicing requirements.
- Liaise with auditors, tax agents, banks, corporate secretaries and relevant authorities.
- Improve the use of accounting systems, Excel and automation to strengthen reporting and reduce manual work.
- Supervise and support other finance staff where required.
- Perform other finance-related duties and projects assigned by the CFO.
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
- At least 4–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with full sets of accounts and month-end closing.
- Good knowledge of Singapore GST, corporate tax and financial reporting requirements.
- Experience with subsidiaries, consolidation, project costing or construction-related businesses is an advantage.
- Audit experience or experience improving internal controls and accounting processes is an advantage.
- Good Excel skills; AutoCount experience preferred.
- Able to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities.
- Practical, hands-on and willing to improve existing processes rather than simply follow them.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
