Key Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, masking, and applying primers to a variety of aircraft parts and structures.
- Apply various paint systems, including primers, base coats, and topcoats, using spray guns and other painting tools with high precision.
- Ensure all painting work complies with company guidelines, technical specifications, and safety regulations specific to aviation standards.
- Conduct thorough inspections of painted surfaces to maintain quality control and address any inconsistencies promptly.
- Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to understand specific job requirements and scheduling priorities.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety policies.
- Manage paint inventory efficiently and report any shortages or equipment malfunctions.
- Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used to support traceability and quality assurance processes.
Requirement
- Experience in spray painting, preferably within aerospace, automotive, or industrial settings.
- Knowledge of different types of paints, coatings, and surface preparation techniques.
- Understanding of safety standards and environmental regulations related to paint application.
- Attention to detail with high standards for finish quality and consistency.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Good communication skills and willingness to learn new techniques and standards.
- Basic proficiency in English to comprehend technical documents and collaborate across teams.
