JOB SUMMARY
Join our team as an English Enrichment& Drama Teacher and inspire children aged 3–12 to build confidence, creativity and strong communication skills through engaging English, phonics, speech and drama programmes.
JOB ROLE
- Conduct engaging English enrichment, phonics, speech and drama lessons for preschool and primary students.
- Use storytelling, role-play, drama and performance techniques to develop students’ English and communication skills.
- Prepare students for showcases, recitals and drama performances.
- Monitor students’ progress and provide constructive feedback to students and parents.
- Develop and adapt lesson plans, teaching resources and curriculum materials.
- Contribute to curriculum improvement and programme development.
- Support teacher onboarding, training and mentoring by sharing effective teaching practices.
- Participate in centre events, performances, workshops and other school activities.
- Maintain effective classroom management and accurate class records.
- Conduct classes at different locations across Singapore, including weekdays evenings and/or weekends, where required.
REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma or Degree in Education, English, Early Childhood, Drama, Theatre, Performing Arts, Linguistics or a related discipline.
- Formal Speech & Drama training such as Trinity, LAMDA or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of teaching experience with preschool and/or primary school students.
- Experience in English enrichment, Speech & Drama and/or phonics is preferred.
- Strong command of spoken and written English.
- Good knowledge of phonics, pronunciation, storytelling and drama-based teaching.
- Confident, energetic and creative with strong classroom management skills.
- Passionate about helping children learn, communicate and perform with confidence.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and mentoring skills.
- Willing to travel across Singapore and teach weekend and/or evening classes.
- NAC-approved instructor certification is an advantage.
