Machine Maintenance Technician

Job Scope
- Manage a team of technicians.
- Responsible for line equipment sustenance to support production output, scraps, and quality.
- Maintain and upkeep production equipment to achieve minimum downtime, high operating efficiency, and productivity.
- Include equipment repair and troubleshooting, set-up, buy-off, type conversion, fine-tuning and optimization, modification and enhancement, equipment and tools calibration, and preventive maintenance.
- Collaborate with engineers on equipment upgrades.
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for all production equipment maintenance in his area of responsibility.
- Work on assignments that are of higher complexities and demands reasonable levels of problem resolution and personal judgment.
- Fan out developed knowledge of the job skills and procedures across all similar equipment to improve performance and standardization.
- Contribute improvement ideas and work on continuous improvement projects.
- Coach team to complete a wide variety of difficult assignments/tasks.
- Develop troubleshooting guide on major issues for knowledge retention.
- Guide and train new line technician on equipment maintenance and working procedures.
- Contribute in equipment improvement project, e.g., equipment modification to reduce wafer breakage and improve equipment uptime, etc...
- Work under minimum supervision and normally receives no instructions on routine work and general instructions given for new assignments.
- Provide proper handover and shift pass down.
- Perform PM and tool calibrations as per planned and properly updated (both document as well as PM/Calibration stickers).
- Perform type conversion including equipment fine-tuning and buy-off before releasing it to production.
- Perform equipment repair and troubleshooting, maintaining it at minimum downtime.
- Assist the engineer on spare parts management.
- Compliance with CSR, EHS, QM, ESD, 5S standard and cleanroom protocol.
Education/Experience Requirements
- Diploma in Engineering or equivalent Technical Certificate.
- 4 years of relevant technical experience.
- Experienced with computer systems and proficient with software applications such as MS Power Point, Excel, and Word.
Skills, Abilities & Knowledge
- Work under minimum supervision.
- Acquire good troubleshooting knowledge and skills, andable to achieve consistent performance on equipment repair, type conversion andPM.
- Ability to analyze difficult problem and applysystematic problem-solving skills.
- Able to suggest, execute and lead equipmentimprovement projects.
- Lead by example.
- Level 3 equipment troubleshooting skills on at least 1 type of equipment.
- Guide the technicians to troubleshoot the production equipment in a systematic manner, effectively.
- Able to multi-task, set priorities and meet deadlines.
