Math Tuition Teacher

Moyuan Culture Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced Math Tuition Teacher to join our growing team in Singapore. As a Math Tuition Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality mathematics instruction to students across various levels. You'll work closely with our curriculum team to design engaging lessons, assess student progress, and provide personalized guidance that helps every learner achieve their academic goals. Your contributions will directly support our mission of fostering academic excellence and lifelong learning in the education management sector.

We offer a competitive monthly salary of SGD $3,800 – $4,500 along with professional development opportunities and a collaborative teaching culture.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging mathematics lessons aligned with the Singapore curriculum and MOE syllabus across primary and secondary levels.
• Conduct small-group and one-on-one tuition sessions to address individual student learning needs.
• Design customized lesson materials, worksheets, and assessment tools to reinforce mathematical concepts and problem-solving skills.
• Monitor and track student progress through regular evaluations, providing constructive feedback to students and parents.
• Identify learning gaps and implement targeted intervention strategies to improve student outcomes.
• Prepare students for school examinations, national tests, and competitive mathematics assessments.
• Collaborate with fellow educators and curriculum developers to continually enhance teaching methods and materials.
• Maintain a positive, motivating classroom environment that encourages active participation and intellectual curiosity.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress, achievements, and areas for improvement.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school-wide initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of teaching experience in mathematics, preferably within a tuition centre or academic institution in Singapore.
• Strong knowledge of the Singapore mathematics curriculum (MOE syllabus) across primary and/or secondary levels.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage students of varying abilities.
• Proven ability to simplify complex mathematical concepts and make learning accessible and enjoyable.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple classes and administrative duties.
• Patience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for education and student development.
• Experience with digital teaching tools and online learning platforms is an advantage.
• GCE 'O' Level or 'A' Level Mathematics distinction is a plus.
• Teaching certification (e.g., PGDE, NIE diploma, or equivalent) is preferred.
