Teach robotics. Develop the lessons. Prepare students to compete.
First Konnection is recruiting a Robotics Instructor for an established education enrichment provider.
You’ll teach mainly primary-aged children, develop practical robotics lessons and prepare students for robotics competitions. The role combines hands-on technical work with classroom teaching, curriculum development and close collaboration with other instructors.
Regular programmes typically have around 6 students per instructor. Competition training generally involves groups of up to 6 to 8 students, aged approximately 7 to 13.
Your responsibilities
Deliver robotics focused STEM programmes, with supporting coding and AI content.
Explain technical concepts clearly and guide children through practical robotics activities.
Develop curriculum, lesson plans and teaching materials.
Coach students for robotics competitions and guide their preparation.
Engage parents on site, mainly at the end of lessons, about their child’s learning and progress.
Work closely with fellow instructors on lesson delivery, materials and competition preparation.
What you’ll bring
Credible hands-on robotics experience, with current knowledge of the systems and platforms you use.
Robotics competition experience with a track record you can substantiate. You should be able to explain your role, contribution and results.
Experience teaching robotics to children, with the ability to keep young learners engaged and help them understand technical concepts.
Experience personally developing curriculum, lessons or teaching materials.
Confidence communicating with parents and collaborating with other instructors.
The ability to learn new robotics systems and technologies.
Robotics competition experience, teaching children and lesson development are essential to this role.

Working schedule
The usual working week comprises:
3 weekdays: 12:00 pm to 8:30 pm.
Saturday and Sunday: 8:30 am to 5:30 pm.
Both Saturday and Sunday are compulsory working days.
School holiday camps may involve additional hours and a 6 day working week.
Working locations
Primarily based in eastern Singapore, with regular work at other centres in the central and western regions.
This is a fully on site role. Applicants must be comfortable working at different locations as part of their weekly schedule.
Annual leave and scheduled breaks
14 days of annual leave.
Approximately 1 week of centre closure in early July and 1 week at year end, in addition to annual leave. These scheduled breaks compensate for additional hours during peak school holiday periods.
