Risk & Compliance Officer

Role Overview: The Risk & Compliance Officer will be responsible for ensuring that Alfar Corporate Solutions Pte Ltd operates in full compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry best practices. This role plays a critical part in safeguarding the company’s reputation, managing operational risks, and supporting sustainable business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and interpret relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines such as MAS, MOM, and PDPA to ensure compliance
  • Submit statutory filings and compliance reports accurately and on time
  • Liaise effectively with regulators and external auditors to address compliance matters
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate operational, financial, and compliance risks to protect company assets
  • Develop and maintain risk registers, incident logs, and escalation frameworks for transparent risk tracking
  • Conduct periodic risk assessments and recommend corrective actions to senior management
  • Draft, review, and update compliance policies, SOPs, and internal controls to align with regulatory changes
  • Train employees on compliance awareness, ethical conduct, and risk management practices to foster a compliant culture
  • Support business continuity planning and prepare for internal audit readiness
  • Perform compliance checks and internal audits to verify adherence to company policies
  • Prepare comprehensive risk and compliance reports for senior management decision-making
  • Track remediation measures and follow up on outstanding compliance issues to closure

Required competencies and certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Law, or related discipline
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in risk management, compliance, or audit, preferably within corporate services or financial sectors
  • Strong knowledge of Singapore regulatory frameworks including MAS, MOM, PDPA, and AML/CFT
  • Proficient analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to manage complex compliance issues
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple departments

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Professional certifications such as CAMS, ICA, CISA, or CPA are advantageous
