[Part-Time] Teaching Specialist

Maplestars Academy is looking for passionate and committed Teaching Specialists to join our growing team, teaching Middle and Upper Primary English and/or Mathematics in small-group settings.

Responsibilities

* Teach Middle and Upper Primary English and/or Mathematics, including PSLE preparation, in small-group settings (maximum class size of 3 students)

* Conduct engaging and structured lessons tailored to students’ learning needs and academic goals

* Support students in strengthening their subject foundations, examination skills, and confidence in tackling challenging questions

* Co-create and refine teaching resources, worksheets, and lesson materials

* Provide constructive feedback on students’ progress, strengths, and areas for improvement

* Track students’ learning and adapt lesson approaches where necessary

* Foster a positive, supportive, and encouraging learning environment

Requirements

* Prior experience teaching Primary 3–6 students and preparing students for the PSLE in English and/or Mathematics

* Comfortable teaching PSLE-level English and/or Mathematics, including more challenging and higher-order questions

* Strong understanding of the Singapore Primary School curriculum and PSLE requirements

* Able to explain concepts clearly and break down challenging questions into manageable steps

* Preferably holding a degree in Mathematics, English, Education, or a related field

* Able to work independently and contribute to curriculum and resource development

* Responsible, patient, and genuinely passionate about helping students learn and improve

Candidates should be comfortable independently planning and conducting lessons for Primary 5–6 students and supporting students in their PSLE preparation.

* Weekday evenings: approximately 3pm–7pm and/or

* Weekends
