Risk Management Manager (Commodity & LNG)

Responsibilities
- Develop and continuously enhance the company's enterprise risk management framework, including policies, procedures, standards, and control tools.
- Identify, assess, monitor, and report on credit, market, operational, compliance, and funding risks across business activities.
- Prepare profit and loss reports, risk assessment reports, and risk alerts to support informed decision-making.
- Conduct risk control reviews for business projects and perform due diligence, counterparty assessments, customer evaluations, and transaction risk ratings.
- Monitor trading and business activities through routine risk inspections, data analysis, and investigation of abnormal trends.
- Lead the management of risk incidents, implement mitigation measures, oversee corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement through post-incident reviews.
- Partner with trading, finance, legal, and operations teams to embed risk controls into business processes.
- Report on overall risk exposure, control effectiveness, and risk mitigation recommendations to senior management.
- Monitor regulatory developments and industry trends and update risk management strategies accordingly.
- Review physical and derivatives transaction records and validate valuation accuracy within risk management systems.
- Support derivative-related funding and settlement processes in collaboration with the finance team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Risk Management, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.
- 5 to 10 years of experience in risk management, trading risk, commodities trading, or LNG markets.
- Strong knowledge of market risk, credit risk, operational risk, and derivative products.
- Experience performing risk assessments, due diligence reviews, and transaction risk analysis.
- Proficiency in risk management systems and advanced Excel-based analysis.
- Experience in commodity trading, energy trading, or LNG markets is an added advantage.
- Experience working within Chinese corporate environments is an added advantage.
- Proficiency in Mandarin language for liaising with Mandarin-speaking headquarters and stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to prepare risk-related reports and recommendations.
