Responsibilities for Temporary Pharmacist
- Review and verify prescriptions to ensure appropriate, safe and accurate medication dispensing.
- Counsel patients on medication use, dosage, administration, precautions and potential adverse effects.
- Perform medication reconciliation and identify drug interactions, allergies and other medication-related concerns.
- Facilitate Medication Delivery Service (MDS), PILBOX and other medication collection services.
- Provide pharmaceutical care and respond to patients’ medication-related enquiries.
- Work closely with doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals to support optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate medication documentation and adhere to pharmacy policies, standards and regulatory requirements.
- Support telepharmacy, tele-dispensing and video consultation services where required.
- Ensure proper medication storage, stock management and medication safety practices.
- Contribute to quality improvement, patient safety and pharmacy service initiatives.
Qualifications for Temporary Pharmacist
- Degree in Pharmacy or an equivalent qualification recognised by the relevant regulatory authority.
- Registered Pharmacist with the Singapore Pharmacy Council (SPC).
- Hold a valid Practising Certificate (PC).
- Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of pharmacotherapy and medication management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong patient-centred approach.
- Previous experience in outpatient or community pharmacy settings will be an advantage.
