Compliance and Regulatory Associate

SALT Talent Search is looking for a Compliance and Regulatory Associate for a 12 months extendable contract role.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end permitting and licensing process for sorting centers, fulfillment centers, and related logistics facilities across EU/UK and SEA.
  • Identify, assess, and manage all approvals required to establish and operate facilities, including planning permissions, building and occupancy approvals, business licenses, environmental permits, fire safety approvals, signage permits, and other local operating authorizations
  • Monitor relevant national, regional, and local regulations affecting warehouse and fulfillment operations, reflecting the source JD’s emphasis on staying current with jurisdiction-specific regulatory requirements
  • Proactively map permit requirements for upcoming sites and develop compliance timelines aligned with construction, readiness, and go-live milestones.
  • Partner closely with facilities, construction, real estate, and operations teams to ensure applications are submitted accurately and on time
  • Coordinate with external consultants, legal counsel, and local authorities to support approvals and resolve regulatory issues efficiently
  • Maintain a centralized tracker for active and planned applications, including submission status, renewal dates, dependencies, and ownership

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple parallel workstreams across countries and jurisdictions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence in working with regulators, public authorities, and cross-functional business teams.
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and deliver in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Background in regulatory affairs, construction compliance, legal operations, or permit management.
