The Assistant Director, Faculty Engagement & Value Propositions, drives philanthropic growth by developing donor-centric funding propositions and enhancing faculty fundraising capabilities to support the University’s giving mission.
Responsibilities
- Build strong working relationships with faculty colleagues to develop new funding propositions for Colleges and Schools
- Align faculty funding needs with prospective donors’ giving interests to generate new gift opportunities
- Facilitate and support conversations on new gift opportunities between University stakeholders and prospective donors
- Create compelling proposals and donor-centric collateral to engage and inspire donors
- Support Senior Leadership in advancing gift cases through strategic engagement
- Provide administrative and operational support to advance gift purposes as needed
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
- Proficient in relationship management, editorial writing, presentation, and product packaging to effectively communicate value propositions
- Demonstrated progressive career growth over at least 8 years in business development and/or marketing roles involving senior stakeholder engagement
- Ability to translate technical innovations into clear go-to-market messaging
- Experience in Higher Education or Business Development is advantageous
- Commitment to philanthropy for higher education and motivation to contribute to community building
- Team-oriented with a positive, proactive attitude
- Demonstrates discretion and handles confidential and sensitive information with tact and maturity
