Marine Logistics Manager

We are partnering with an established marine market leader to appoint an experienced Logistics Manager to lead its logistics, warehouse and distribution operations in Singapore.
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for ensuring efficient day-to-day logistics execution while improving processes, controlling costs and maintaining strong service levels across warehousing, transportation, inventory and order fulfilment.
The successful candidate should be comfortable balancing strategic logistics management with practical warehouse operations, including supporting the team on the ground when required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage overall logistics, transportation, warehouse and distribution operations.
- Oversee inventory control, order processing, goods movement, delivery and collection scheduling.
- Manage and develop the logistics and warehouse team, ensuring effective manpower allocation and operational performance.
- Optimise logistics and warehouse processes to improve efficiency, service quality and cost effectiveness.
- Develop and implement logistics and supply-chain initiatives aligned with wider business objectives.
- Monitor logistics KPIs, analyse operational data and implement continuous improvements.
- Manage monthly cycle counts, inventory accuracy and annual stocktakes.
- Ensure the warehouse is maintained in a safe, organised and operationally efficient manner.
- Coordinate with suppliers, customers, transport providers and internal departments to ensure timely delivery and fulfilment.
- Manage logistics budgets, cost controls, performance reports and monthly/quarterly management reporting.
- Support implementation and optimisation of logistics systems and technology, including SAP and IWMS.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legal, environmental, workplace safety and company requirements.
- Oversee repair and maintenance requirements for the warehouse and overall facility.
- Act as an escalation point for operational issues and resolve logistics challenges promptly.
- Support hands-on picking, packing and warehouse activities when operationally necessary.
- Undertake additional operational projects and ad hoc duties as required by management.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related discipline.
- Possession of a personal vehicle, valid Class 4 driving licence and forklift licence would be advantageous.
- Approximately 10+ years of logistics or supply-chain experience, with proven responsibility for warehouse and logistics operations.
- Previous leadership experience managing logistics or warehouse teams.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management, transportation, warehousing and distribution processes.
- Experience with SAP and warehouse management systems (IWMS/WMS).
- Professional certification such as APICS, CSCP or CLTD would be advantageous.
- Strong analytical, planning and problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication, stakeholder-management and negotiation skills.
- Commercially minded with a strong focus on cost control and operational efficiency.
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage competing deadlines.
- Hands-on leadership style with willingness to support operational activities when required.
- Able to work overtime or weekends when business requirements demand.
- Experience within the marine, maritime, ship supply, industrial distribution or related sectors would be advantageous.
