OPERATIONS MANAGER (GROCERY SUPPLY) Arutara Pte Ltd

Job Summary

Lead and manage daily grocery and fresh vegetable supply operations, ensuring efficient procurement, logistics, client relations, and cost control to drive business growth and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage daily supply of groceries and fresh vegetables to meet client demand and seasonal availability
• Coordinate procurement activities to ensure timely stock replenishment and maintain quality control of perishable goods
• Source products from wholesalers and suppliers, negotiate pricing, and secure cost-efficient purchasing agreements
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure consistent product quality and supply
• Plan and oversee delivery schedules, coordinate transport and drivers, and optimize routes for cost-effective distribution
• Resolve delivery issues promptly to maintain high customer satisfaction
• Maintain and develop relationships with hotels, food courts, and restaurants by handling orders, inquiries, and service requests
• Identify new business opportunities to expand the client base and ensure client retention through excellent service
• Monitor inventory movement to reduce wastage and track purchase and sales margins for effective cost management
• Maintain accurate records of stock and transactions to support inventory control
• Track sales performance and operational efficiency by preparing weekly and monthly reports
• Analyze demand trends and adjust supply plans to improve processes based on operational data
• Supervise packing and delivery teams by assigning daily tasks, maintaining discipline, safety, and operational standards
• Collaborate with management for strategic business planning and operational improvements

Required competencies and certifications

• Diploma or Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field
• Minimum 3–6 years of experience in operations, logistics, or supply business
• Experience handling perishable goods, preferably groceries or vegetables
• Strong understanding of supply chain and distribution processes
• Ability to manage both operational and client-facing responsibilities

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Experience in food supply or wholesale market
• Knowledge of local suppliers in Singapore
• Basic accounting or stock management knowledge
• Ability to handle high-volume operations
