The Singapore National Olympic Committee (SNOC) works in close partnership with the High Performance Sport Institute (HPSI), SpexSG to build a world-class high-performance sports ecosystem that enables National Sports Associations (NSAs) and athletes to excel, inspiring and uniting Singapore.

Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Finance and Admin Executive to support the NSAs finance and administrative functions. The successful candidate will assist with the day-to-day finance operations, including procurement documentation, accounts payable, staff claims, payment processing, accounts receivable monitoring, month-end closing and audit support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare purchase requisition forms (PRFs) accurately, ensuring that all required supporting documents are complete and properly attached. Route PRFs to the approving parties in accordance with the NSA’s approval matrix and delegated authority limits.
  • Perform three-way matching of supplier invoices against approved purchase orders, PRFs and other relevant supporting documents.
  • Review and process staff claims in accordance with policies and approval procedures. Monitor outstanding cash advances and follow up with employees to ensure timely submission of expense reconciliations.
  • Prepare payment vouchers for approved supplier invoices and staff claims, ensuring that each payment vouchers are complete, properly supported and approved in accordance with the approval matrix.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on overdue balances. Escalate significantly overdue balances to management for further action.
  • Assist with month-end closing and provide supporting documents to the accountants and bookkeepers.
  • Assist with internal, external, statutory and other finance-related audits as required.
  • Maintain proper filing and documentation of finance records in accordance with the NSA’s policies and audit requirements.
  • Follow established finance processes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy
  • Assist in developing, maintaining and updating of finance processes, schedules and documentation.
  • Perform other finance-related duties, projects, and administrative tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Accountancy, Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply. One to two years of relevant accounting or finance experience will be an advantage
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong attention to details with good numerical accuracy
  • Positive attitude with willingness to learn and continuously improve work processes
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies rather than simply flagging them
