Food Lab Technician

Responsibilities

• Accurately compound and blend flavor formulations (powder and liquid) according to approved recipes across Savory, Sweet, and Beverage applications.
• Support flavor development activities by preparing samples and assisting the Flavorist team with formulation-related tasks.
• Conduct flashpoint testing and other laboratory analyses in accordance with established procedures and quality requirements.
• Utilize SAP to identify, retrieve, and manage raw materials required for compounding and testing activities.
• Monitor inventory levels, coordinate replenishment of laboratory materials, and maintain accurate stock records.
• Maintain complete and up-to-date documentation for raw materials, formulations, testing activities, and finished products.
• Apply Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) with a strong focus on weighing accuracy, formulation precision, and data integrity.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of ingredients, flavor samples, and laboratory waste in accordance with company procedures.
• Uphold laboratory housekeeping standards to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient working environment.
• Comply with all Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) policies, laboratory safety procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance laboratory efficiency, quality, and operational excellence.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Diploma or ITE qualification in Food Technology, Food Science, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or a related discipline.
• Candidates with relevant internship experience are welcome to apply
• Prior exposure to the food, beverage, flavor, fragrance, or laboratory environment will be an advantage.
• Knowledge of flavor compounding and flavor industry practices would be beneficial.
