CHOREOGRAPHER

Role Overview

We are seeking an imaginative and technically skilled Choreographer to conceptualize, design, and direct original dance routines and staging for live performances, commercial productions, and special events. This role involves translating creative concepts into dynamic movements, training performers, and collaborating closely with production teams to deliver cohesive, high-impact shows.

Key Responsibilities

• Conceptualize and create original choreography across diverse musical genres and performance formats.

• Lead dance auditions, cast performers, and conduct intensive rehearsals to teach routines, formations, and timing.

• Assess dancers' individual strengths and adapt movements to optimize group synergy, safety, and visual appeal.

• Collaborate with creative directors, music producers, costume designers, and lighting technicians to ensure choreography aligns with the production's artistic vision.

• Direct stage blocking, transitions, and pacing during technical rehearsals and dress runs.

• Provide ongoing notes and feedback to performers throughout show runs to maintain performance precision and artistic standards.

Requirements

• Proven track record as a choreographer or assistant choreographer for live entertainment, theater, commercial events, or media productions.

• Advanced technical proficiency in one or more dance styles (e.g., commercial, contemporary, hip-hop, jazz, or theatrical dance).

• Strong leadership and instructional capabilities to communicate complex movements clearly to dancers of varying skill levels.

• Keen artistic eye for spatial awareness, musicality, staging, and storytelling through movement.

• Ability to work under tight production deadlines and adapt routines quickly to sudden staging or musical changes.

• Flexibility to work irregular schedules, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, to support rehearsal and performance timetables.
