Performing Arts Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end production operations for live shows, seasonal programming, and special events.

• Coordinate artist scheduling, rehearsals, travel logistics, rider requirements, and contracts.

• Manage production budgets, track operational expenses, and negotiate terms with external vendors, sound/lighting crews, and venues.

• Serve as the primary liaison between performers, artistic directors, marketing teams, and technical production staff.

• Ensure all productions comply with venue licensing, workplace safety, copyright regulations, and statutory guidelines.

• Supervise front-of-house and backstage logistics during live performances to resolve operational bottlenecks on the fly.

Requirements

• Proven experience in arts management, theater administration, event operations, or a related entertainment field.

• Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple production timelines simultaneously.

• Solid understanding of live stage operations, technical production elements (audio, lighting, staging), and artist contract management.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interface effectively with artists, technical crews, and management.

• Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, corresponding to show runs and event dates.
