Process Development Chemist

Join a growing multinational chemical manufacturer as a Process Development Chemist to develop and optimize production processes from lab scale to full-scale manufacturing on site.

Responsibilities

• Optimize manufacturing processes from laboratory scale to full-scale production to improve efficiency and output quality
• Identify potential production issues collaboratively with line managers and deliver innovative solutions through detailed investigations with cross-functional teams
• Plan, organize, and manage multiple projects ranging from short-term (days) to long-term (>12 months) to meet production goals
• Provide technical support to the production department by resolving manufacturing problems and implementing process changes
• Produce and prepare samples for customer evaluation as requested by the sales team to support product development and sales efforts
• Maintain and update process documentation to comply with site standards and ensure accurate record-keeping
• Record work activities formally in accordance with site Quality Assurance systems and distribute reports to relevant business units

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering background
• 2-3 years of experience in chemical or pharmaceutical manufacturing industry
• Experience in technology development or technology transfer is advantageous
• Ability to plan and organize tasks effectively to prioritize projects
• Proactive problem-solving skills to address issues as they arise
